Kwame Mensah

Kwame Mensah joined OJA Studios in 2020 as our first cultural content host. With a background in anthropology and a passion for preserving Ghana's cultural heritage, he quickly became the face of our most popular show, "Ghana's Hidden Traditions." Born and raised in Kumasi, Kwame developed a deep appreciation for Ghanaian traditions from an early age. His grandfather was a respected elder who passed down stories and customs that were at risk of being forgotten. This personal connection to Ghana's cultural heritage inspired Kwame to pursue a career in cultural documentation and education. Before joining OJA Studios, Kwame worked with several cultural preservation organizations and contributed to academic research on West African traditions. His work has taken him to remote villages across Ghana, where he has built relationships with community elders and gained unique access to sacred ceremonies and practices. Kwame's approachable presenting style and genuine respect for the traditions he documents have made "Ghana's Hidden Traditions" our most-watched series. He has a remarkable ability to explain complex cultural concepts in accessible ways while maintaining their depth and significance. When he's not filming, Kwame conducts workshops for young Ghanaians on cultural heritage and serves as an advisor for cultural festivals across the country.
